Key LimesThe mere thought of key lime pie likely transports your senses to a tropical paradise. As we move into the winter month's having a little slice, or glass, of the tropics can be just the thing to quench our thirst for warmer days and sunny skies. Key lime pie is among one of the top pies to serve at Thanksgiving so it is no surprise that our key lime martini is among the most requested cocktails here at Edgar's.

Key Lime PieThe history and love for this delectable dessert run deep and spans over a century. Rumor has it that the key lime pie originated in Key West, Fla, toward the end of the 1800's. Foodie folklore claims the cook to prominent Key West and Bahamian-born resident William Curry invented the recipe. Curry became the first millionaire in the Florida Keys and his cook adoringly referred to as "Aunt Sally", concocted the first pie from key limes. 

This maritime flavor favorite can be enjoyed among many genres of food and drink, including one of Edgar's Grille's favorite martinis -- the Key Lime Pie martini! Stop into Edgar's today and enjoy our key lime martini in our relaxing courtyard!

Edgar's Grille Key Lime Martini

  • 1 ounce Licor 43
  • 1 ½ ounces of vanilla vodka
  • ¾ ounce of lime juice and
  • 1 ounce of heavy cream.
  • Decorate with crushed graham crackers.
